Mike recorded a final .345 batting average in 197 at-bats with Pacific in 2009, which was good for fifth-best on the team. Walker also tied teammate Nick Longmire for the second most home runs on Pacific's line-up with six in 2009, that helped contribute to his team fourth-best .497 slugging percentage. His strongest plate appearance came during Pacific's explosive 21-8 victory over Cal State Bakersfield, when Mike went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBI as a result of his two singles, double and home run. That was the most runs Walker drove in all season long. Mike finished his junior year with a .497 slugging percentage and a .424 on base percentage, starting all but one of the Tigers' 53 games. For his efforts, Walker was named Second Team All-Big West in 2009. Defensively, Walker recorded 29 putouts on the year, in addition to 134 assists while helping turn 16 double plays.<b>2008 (Sophomore):</b><br>Walker continued to showcase his talents his sophomore year, starting in 37 of the 44 games he played. His .293 batting average was good for fifth overall, and he proved to be an important player to have at the plate with 25 runs scored, 43 hits and 26 RBI -- rounding out the top five in all categories. Mike led all players in multi-RBI games with nine on the season and recorded a seven-game hitting streak from April 20 to May 3. His highest RBI generating performance came on May 16, pumping out four RBI after going 3-for-4 with a double and two walks, chipping in to Pacific's 17-5 pounding of Cal State Northridge. He also contributed to another large victory, providing three RBI after going 3-for-5 with a solo home run in the Tigers' 11-7 victory over Santa Clara on May 7.<b>2007 (Freshman):</b><br>Mike kicked off his collegiate career in high gear, delivering nine RBI in his first four contests. Walker was 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the Tigers' season opening 11-7 loss to Cal State Northridge on Feb. 2. Two days later, Walker was 3-for-6 with three RBI in the Tigers' 12-0 win over Cal State Northridge. Walker collected his first career triple in the contest. The following game, however, is where Mike made his biggest splash. Walker posted a team-high five RBI in Pacific's 16-10 win over Sacramento State on Feb. 6. Walker's big blow came in the Tigers' seven-run eighth inning as he blasted a three-run home run over the center field wall. After cooling off through the middle of the season, Walker's bat started to heat up against No. 13 UC Irvine. In three games against the Anteaters, Mike was 6-for-12 with five RBI and three runs scored. Walker finished the season with a .246 batting average, with 31 hits, six doubles and 24 RBI in 48 games.<b>High School:</b><br>Walker graduated from Marysville High School in Marysville, Cailf., in 2006. A three-time letterwinner in baseball, Mike also grabbed varsity letters in football and basketball. During his senior season, Walker hit an impressive .512 with four home runs and 20 RBI in 13 games. Following both his junior and senior seasons, Walker earned All-Golden Empire League honors and was named the Indians MVP in 2006.<b>Personal:</b><br>Michael Walker was born in Yuba City, Calif., and is the son of Dan and Anne Walker. He has two siblings, Nikki (23) and Davis (16). In his fourth year at Pacific, Mike is a communication major with hopes of entering the field of media production. In his spare time, Walker enjoys spending time with his friends.
